Americans spend nearly one-third of their adult
lives asleep, but approximately 30,000 suffer from some
sort of sleep disorder - resulting in excessive forgetfulness,
reduced productivity in the workplace, depression and
irritability.
The Eastern Connecticut Sleep Program at Windham Hospital is designed to provide comprehensive medical assessment of sleep disorders and associated diagnostic testing as indicated, with formulation of a treatment plan and provision of follow-up evaluation.
Most sleep disorders can be diagnosed and treated.
Windham Hospital's Diagnostic Sleep Lab, the first diagnostic
sleep lab to be accredited in eastern Connecticut, utilizes
state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and help physicians
treat sleep-related disorders. Trained polysomnographers,
who conduct sleep studies, and the lab's board-certified
sleep physicians help hundreds of patients get a better
night's sleep. |
